RE: Does anyone have one of these??

Don't need one of those for my trailer! Of course the self drive option for my Powerhouse Coach trailer cost a little more. See demo here.
Wow. That's pretty cool.

RE: New owner of a abused RV

I forgot a couple things I am not sure what class of motorhome it is how do I find out? also I have a ton of wiring issues so any help with wiring not only electrical 110 volt but also a bunch of engine and chassis issues I.E. turn signals, brake lights, charging system, windshield wipers. so anything like a link or info on a haynes manual or chiltons would be appreciated. Also am I posting in the right area if not I am sorry and would appreciate a point in the right direction.
Thanks so much
I'm thinking Allstate, a match, and 1 gallon of unleaded.
Good luck!

RE: Octane Boost Additive

Back to the question on the 2 stroke: Higher octain will not hurt your bike for the most part.
Realize you are affecting your air/fuel mix which may run poorly at certain elevations or conditions.
Just like adding extra 2 stroke oil: you are replacing fuel volume with oil hance leaning out the air/fuel mix.
The only reson for booster is to minimize pre-ignition or detonation due to high compression or carbon build up.

RE: List of Multi-Bathroom Toy Haulers

My wife loved the 3950. We took a long hard look at it. It was too much for our current TV and too much for some of the small state parks.

RE: Any Sterling deals out there?

You need to drive one. I did, don't like it, but you might. Every thing else is just smoke...

RE: Fuel filters

Clogged fuel filters will effect performance before mpg. Fuel quality, which you have little control of, will affect mpg and performance. We try to replace fuel filters at 6,000 miles in our 5.9/6.0/6.6/7.3L units. It seems to work well.

RE: 2000 Keystone Tail-Gator 25RR

Ditto on my 02 24 Tailgator. Good unit for the money. Just trim and nic-nacks to fix.
Any 6 year old unit can have some issues. I would look and roof and floors very carefully.

RE: Hurricane Fuel Prices

The price of unleaded went up $1.60 from Thursday here in FL. This is port pricing, no bull. I purchase over 500k gallons for a local fleet yearly. We will see it soon at the local pump. If they jacked up the price before Friday they are *@!.

RE: This truck for fifth wheel?

I'm looking at an 06 F350 diesel, SRW, FX4, extended cab, short bed. It's a Lariat trim, and I like everything about it. My question is will the relatively short wheelbase (142")have any significant shortcomings towing a 13,500 GVWR 5er?
Thanks!
I think you will be ok. Try not live at the trailers 13,500 GVWR

RE: I could use some more help folks

That's funny, that's the exact one I'm about to buy from that dealer. I wanted the specs on it though, you know... the weight (tongue and UVW) the height and so on. I tried the Coachmen website but that unit is off the site because of the year.
At least you know they all lie...
Tougue about 15% of the UVW which will be 800~1,000lbs more than the OEM states.

DexCool is junk IMHO. Flush it out and use a good extended life coolant. We use Peak at our shop.

RE: Ranking the Toy Haulers

I was very happy with my first TH:Keystone Tail Gator. Entry level but served us well. My current Ragen seems very well built but still needed lots of tweaking when I got it.
I was looking at Raptors when I came across a very good deal on the Ragen. Jaycos were my second choice.

RE: 2wd vs 4wd

2wd vs 4 wd
Weight:400~800lbs
MPG 1~1.5 less on 4wd
Height 2.5 inches most trucks
Maint: min. if not spinning wheels often
I have used the 4wd several times. I frequent ONF, up hill with 10k TH in tow, that red dirt can be an sob when it's real wet or real dry.

I would agree with Jim. The improved flow heads started in 2000~2001 and those seem to have the plug blow out issue.
